Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down in the most delightful way . . . a strong gust of wind sends allt he prospective nanny's helter skelter cue Mary Poppins to float gently down to the front door with her umbrella to fill the position of a nanny for 2 cantakerous chidren whose father is a banker! Add Bert to the mix of characters who sells kites, cleans chimneys and has a "tea party" where everyone floats to the ceiling with Bert's uncle and his infectious laugh ..... and then the magical carousel that takes them on a fox hunt! What wonderful sparks of imagination.
Mary Poppins was based on the book series by P.L. Travers and in 1964 Disney made this into a full-feature musical film with Julie Andrews as the starring role of Mary Poppins who stays until the wind changes direction and Bert, Dick VanDyke, sells his kites.
We will showcase projects both from the book along with Disney's interpretation of Mary Poppins as who wouldn't want a spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down! If you just happened on my doorstep by mistake as the wind set you here, I wouldn't want you to miss a single adventure and would love for you to start at the beginning with Lynne (http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/). You should have arrived from which means the wind is going in the right direction and you floated down gently!
In the immortal words of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, we have some wonderful sponsors that are giving a spoonful of sugar to help you on your way be posting a comment on each of the hops along the way!
I did this layout from a trip to
Disneyland a few years back.
(I am way behind on scrappin')
plain and simple as I only had
one picture.
As the wind changes, so does Mary Poppins visit ends on my blog but I want you to see more wonderful scenes of Mary Poppins thus I'm sending you off to .www.messmuddleandfun.blogspot. com

I love your layout. When I went to Disney World In 1995 I too had my photo made with Mary and Bert. Hummm, I wonder where that photo is? I like the banner and striped tent on your layout. Thanks for sharing. Edwina Brown
